You know you've got a good husband when you say something like, "Maybe this week you can clean out the garage so I can open my car door." And the next thing you know, he's showing you plans of shelves he designed to build in the garage. (Thank you engineering classes.) It's after 11 tonight and Justin and his brother Nate are still out there. I can't sleep because of the saw (neither can the neighbors) so this up-to-the-minute info. I just love him.

It's a....

Girl! She is just the cutest fuzzy black and white baby ever! I lost $50 because I bet it was a boy. Justin bet me it was a girl, only because he didn't think I could be so sure it was a boy. Boy was I wrong. The very first thing the tech said seconds after he put the wand on my stomach was, "You're having a girl". He said it so calmly, I almost said, "What?", partly because I was so surprised to hear "girl" and because he caught me off guard. Then I got a little choked up. I wasn't even used to the idea that it even had a gender. Here's her foot, her yawning and proof that she is a girl. Click on the pic to make it bigger but it's hard for me to tell what's what and I was there. Everything looks fine; she's measuring great, everything is where it should be and I even got to poke her little bum and see it move. She's a wiggly little thing.

Finally on the lake

Justin and I finally got on the lake Saturday. I can't do much being pregnant and all but that's okay with me. Watching others crash is reason enough to go for me.
