Father's Day

We started out the day with the kids making Justin breakfast: bacon, hashbrowns, and eggs. They did it all themselves which is a milestone. After breakfast they gave Justin presents.
He gave me a pretty good list of things he wants for some outdoor trips this summer. He's going on a backpacking trip with the priests in July and then a canoe trip in Minnesota in August with his friends.
The kids also picked out a treat for him to go with each present. He had to guess who gave him what.

After church we settled down to play Formula D but the kids called our attention to a bulging bubble in the ceiling. So instead we spent the next hour investigating a water leak. Nothing like a home repair issue on father's day. Almost beat the year everyone was sick but me on mother's day.
After dinner we had cookies and ice cream for dessert then we went to see his dad and ate eclair bars with them and then went to see my dad and ate brownies and ice cream and pound cake with my sisters and their families.
We sure love this guy. He makes the fun happen.
(Sidenote: our go-to guy Jesse came Monday to fix the leak and repair the drywall. I finished painting today so all is well.)
